Playing a roleplay couple-based online game like Lucent Heart makes a long distance relationship a little more interesting. As strong as our bond already is, playing these games make me feel closer to him. It feels like we’re meeting up in another world where we can travel, and fight monsters together! There are those days where I really miss him, and when we “virtually hug” I get really frustrated, and I wished it was real. I would wish that my body were those pixels , and that I could feel those secure comforting feelings that wash over you when you’re being held. But at the end of the day, when reality hits, the only thing we can do is be positive and optimistic about our relationship’s situation, so we brush it off quickly and use our minds to be affectionate with each other. We can’t physically touch, but we can exchange words, and visual actions. We have no choice but to be more creative, so when we “virtually hug” I like to imagine how the air would feel around us, how his heartbeat pattern changes when I’m pushed up against his chest, as nerdy as this sounds, when we imagine all the small things, this is comforting to us. And when we actually get to do it when we meet in person, it feels so much more amazing because we know the importance of the tiny details, and it’ll all be worth it in the end.<3

I love her so very much. It is cheesy these little geeky things we do. But in our little fairy tale world, cheese is what makes our world spin. The sun is like a huge ball of melted cheese, and water is actually aerosal kraft cheese that comes out of the can. Nerdiness is air—you live with it, you breathe it, and you love it.

Our fairy tale doesn’t need us to be together physically; it only requires us to be in love.
